TVA Sports Launches New Applications and Website

October 09, 2014

(SPORTS TECHNOLOGY)

With the launch of the iPhone Plus 6 and the impending iPad Air 2 launch, sports fans and technophiles alike are going to be making an even bigger move to tablets and large smartphones. Companies such as TVA Sports are looking to take advantage of this particular trend, and the firm has made a big move by launching two free applications for Android (News - Alert) and iOS.

TVA Sports Hockey and TVA Sports are getting these new applications, and a new website launched as well. The TVA Sports Hockey application gives users the ability to choose from eight different camera angles. The various aspects will let people look at body checks, goals or a great save through multiple angles. TVA is partnering with Videotron (News - Alert) for multi-angle replays. It should be pointed out the multi-angle replays are only available during Montreal Canadiens’ games broadcast on TVA Sports.

TVA Sports Hockey app also offers up to date and up to the minute statistics for users when they are watching the game. The application will also let users compare the statistics of two players in order to see who is having the best overall game. Comparing player stats comes in handy as a conversation piece and as something for Fantasy Hockey fans.

The TVA Sports app is the French-language sports news source for Canadian citizens who are massive sports fans. The app covers more than just hockey, but also baseball, football and basketball. Fans can stay up to date on the biggest plays and the most recent scores using the application while also watching video content. This application will also allow users to watch Canadiens’ games broadcast on TVA Sports and TVA Sports 2. Eventually, the company says it will be working out a way to watch live sports that are broadcast on other channels as well.
