Verizon Wireless, Comcast Agreement Promises Atlanta Users a Whale of a Time

With Comcast and Verizon (News
- Alert) co-developing in Atlanta to offer video, phone, Internet and wireless services, consumers in the region are all set to have access to greater variety in entertainment and increased viewing options from anywhere and at anytime.
In addition to offering each other's services in Atlanta, both the companies have lined up exciting offers and incentives for new and existing customers, according to company officials.
"Because mobility is a top priority of the consumer, we co-developed an offering that provides a terrific wireless, entertainment and communications experience in one spot," said Jonathan LeCompte, president at Verizon Wireless (News - Alert) Georgia-Alabama Region, in a press release.
LeCompte also noted that Comcast's ability to deliver exceptional entertainment and communications services has been tremendously boosted and complemented by the ever reliable Verizon Wireless 4G LTE (News - Alert) network.
The agreement with Verizon Wireless has enabled Comcast to deliver greater value to customers by providing entertainment and services that is in accordance with their lifestyles, stated officials.
According to Kerry McKelvey, vice president of marketing at Comcast (News
- Alert) , the complemented services will enable new and existing Comcast customers in Atlanta to experience Comcast's XFINITY services without having to bother about the reliability of the network.
Incentives and offers to all customers of both companies could range from Visa prepaid cards ranging from $50-$300, doubling a customer’s data package, increased download speeds or even doubling a customer’s 4G LTE data plan from Verizon.
After expanding into five additional markets recently, Comcast and Verizon Wireless appear to have bigger plans for expansion in the future.
In other news, Verizon announced that it will cut its CO2 density in half by 2020, as part of the company’s broad sustainability efforts. Other aspects include, developing marketplace solutions to address social issues like health care and energy, and aligning the company’s philanthropic work with these issues to maximize community benefits.
