(SPORTS TECHNOLOGY)

A premier television sports video news agency, SNTV recently released SNTV Digital, a comprehensive set of three digital video products, which will officially go live on October 1, 2011.

SNTV Digital will enable publishers and broadcasters to easily and seamlessly integrate premium sports news video content with their existing digital editorial and commercial systems.

Available 24 hours a day seven days a week, SNTV Digital will cover football, all sports and key events. It will also be available in a full range of technical formats and delivery options including online, mobile, tablet devices and connected TVs.

Digital media owners, with the help of the range of products will be able to better meet the needs of the end consumer. From January 2012, the products are also available for broadcasters wishing to receive broadcast-quality content, with High Definition broadcast-quality delivery.

Officials said that all content is available as ready-to-publish clips of 60-90 seconds duration and available with voice-over if clients prefer.

The content is also available as 'raw' edits of two-four minutes if clients wish to adapt the content, mirroring SNTV's existing broadcast content.

In a release, Martin Kay, Managing Director of SNTV said, "SNTV Digital brings all the breadth and editorial quality of SNTV to broadcasters and digital publishers. We are investing in additional digital rights and global newsgathering to extend our market-leading services, and have ensured we've built a service that delivers on clients editorial and technical needs.

The service can be received by direct download, ftp, or via an embeddable player which clients can easily integrate with their own ad-serving solutions.

This will help publishers and broadcasters to directly monetize sports content through advertising across multiple platforms, either directly via their sales teams or via an ad funded pre-monetized player.

To architect and deliver the new service, SNTV has selected Rightster AVS.

“Our mission is to provide the most relevant sports news to our customers, in the most useful ways. Our customers -- broadcasters, digital publishers, mobile operators -- know their audience, so we've deliberately created SNTV Digital from our agency perspective, with a full range of content, delivery, and monetization options for them to choose from”, said Kay.

In related news, SNTV announced that it has acquired the rights to the next three African Cup of Nations events beginning in 2012.
