VERSUS to Return to DIRECTV

DIRECTV has announced that it has signed an agreement with Comcast (News - Alert) have reached an agreement to return VERSUS to the DIRECTV programming lineup today. The terms of the deal were not disclosed. VERSUS was a part of DIRECTV before August 2009 will now return to the same programming packages on DIRECTV.
"We are pleased that both sides were able to work out a satisfactory deal to bring this programming back to our customers," said Derek Chang, executive vice president, Content Strategy and Development, DIRECTV.
"We're excited that we were able to come to a fair agreement that puts VERSUS back in millions of homes with DIRECTV in time for our busy spring programming schedule," said Jamie Davis, president of VERSUS. "We look forward to super-serving these fans with NHL regular-season and playoff coverage, our first live UFC event and much more."
VERSUS is a rapidly growing sports cable network super-serving passionate sports fans across all platforms (VERSUS.com, VERSUS on Demand and VERSUS HD). The network is the cable television home of the National Hockey League (NHL), IZOD IndyCar Series, Tour de France, World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) and Professional Bull Riders (PBR). VERSUS also has signed deals with top sports leagues such as NASCAR, NBA and UFC and airs collegiate sports featuring nationally-ranked teams from top conferences such as the Pac-10, Big 12 and Mountain West.

DIRECTV has gained wide acceptance owing to its state-of-the-art technology, unmatched programming, extensive sports packages and effective customer service to its more than 25 million customers in the U.S. and Latin America.
