Sony Ericsson's (News - Alert) team believes that each individual match at this year's FIFA World Cup will be made more exciting and interesting due to the instantaneous nature of Twitter and other social media websites.
The excitement for this summer's World Cup has been growing with each day, as the opening matches' days are coming nearer; updates are being regularly put up on various social networking sites by football fans all over the world. The fans have been putting up their detailed views on teams and individual players as the deadline for each nation's final squad list is coming near.
It has been indicated by Sony Ericsson that the engagement and enthusiasm generated for the upcoming tournament is a clear indication that real-time social media, especially Twitter, will surely increase the amount of interest and conversations around each game, building up the climax of the tournament's final to be held on July 11.
'The updates on this year's tournament activity will come thick and fast due to the ability of Twitter to relay interactions in real-time. All the action can be discussed as and when it happens, and more users will be tuning into social media to ensure that they are kept abreast of all the latest news, events, and also chatter around and issues that arise. The fact that users will be able to share their views and opinions as and when things happen within individual games will almost certainly make the tournament a far more engaging experience as a whole," mentioned one of the spokesperson from Sony Ericsson.
The South African Wave was recently launched by Sony Ericsson through both its website and also through the Sony Ericsson Facebook (News - Alert) page, providing the fans an opportunity to receive a number of the official match balls which are going to be used at this year's FIFA World Cup. Earlier Sony Ericsson had launched the Sony Ericsson Twitter World Cup, where football fans were able to pledge their loyalty to their home nation, before the start of this tournament.
Sony Ericsson is the creator of innovative, stylish and inspirational phones and accessories, which are designed keeping in mind each individual's fun and entertainment.
