The Ohio City Street Festival will take place September 23, 2018 from Noon to 8pm. Featuring more than 40 vendors representing Ohio City restaurants, retailers, West Side Market vendors, and nonprofit agencies; a beer garden featuring Ohio City breweries; and a full day of live music including: The Ark Band (Reggae), Noel Quintana & the Latin Crew (Salsa), and Funkyard X (Funk). The Kids Zone will return this year with bouncy houses and free activities including: arts and crafts from the Cleveland Museum of Art and music exploration with The Music Settlement. The Street Festival is a family-friendly event and offers something for everyone.

Mezu, the only money app that puts privacy first, will be accepted throughout the festival and event attendees will receive $5 from Mezu to spend at the Ohio City Street Festival on Sunday. Ohio City is encouraging everyone who is attending the Festival to download the app in advance!

Mezu, Cleveland's hometown money app, is available as a free download on iOS and Adroid devices. The money sharing app allows individuals, businesses, and nonprofit organizations to give and get money without having to share any personal information—just like cash.

"We are very excited to be able to provide festival-goers with a safe, cash-free experience," said Tom McNair, Executive Director of Ohio City Incorporated. "We think this will change the way people are able to enjoy the day and not have to worry about having a wallet or cash on them. It will also make it easier for vendors to serve even more people on the day. And more than anything, we want to support a Cleveland tech startup that  is committed to growing and creating jobs in our region!"

"Mezu is the next evolution in peer-to-peer payment apps," said Yuval Brisker, co-founder and CEO of Mezu. "It's the first app to provide the Experience of Cash™ without the downsides. With Mezu, you can never lose or misplace your money and other people don't need to know what you're spending money on. It's private, secure and FDIC insured - so you never risk losing your money. It's built to easily enable people to give and get money in many ways and without having to share any personal information. We are thrilled to be the official payment app of Ohio City -- our home."

The Ohio City Street Festival is also supported by Cuyahoga Arts & Culture, The Quarter Apartments, Skylight Financial Group and other partners.
