BANGALORE, May 24, 2016 /PRNewswire/ --

Fandromeda, the popular fantasy sports portal, has launched a search for India's most passionate fan - The Fan of the Year. Apart from the prestigious title, the 'Fan of the Year' will also win an all-expenses paid international sports holiday.

Aspiring fans can participate in this conest simply by logging into fandromeda.com and creating squads in all the free fantasy games offered on the site. Every squad created earns points based on its performance. The contest will run for 12 months and the 'Fan of the Year' will be declared on March 31, 2017.

When asked for the reason behind this initiative, Ramesh Srivats, the CEO, said, "Unlike other sites out there in the market, Fandromeda is not just about fantasy sports. It is about the fan. So far, we have had stars and we have had fans. The goal of Fandromeda is to give every fan a chance to be a star."

While Fandromeda has so far offered fantasy games for the World T20 and IPL, it is now expanding its offering to include other cricket, as well as other sports like Football (Euro 2016) and Kabaddi. The site also offers paid games, but the Fan of the Year initiative will only cover the free games.

Fandromeda was launched in March 2016 by TenTenTen Digital Products, the company that had created the Official IPL Fantasy League. The site has so far picked up over 125,000 registered users who have created nearly a million squads and won over Rs. 7 lakhs in prizes.
