Slacker® Radio and ESPN Radio Team Up for His & Hers Music Station

Slacker (News - Alert)® Radio and ESPN today launched a radio station for renowned sports columnists and hosts of the popular His & Hers podcast and TV show, Michael Smith (News - Alert) and Jemele Hill. Built on their love for R&B deep cuts and slow jams, the duo came into the Slacker studios to add commentary and interstitials over their hand-picked, curated playlist. Comprised of their all-time favorite songs and artists, Hill and Smith treat their listeners to a deep dive into seriously sexy "grown folks music," as they call it.

"His & Hers is a relationship show, and considering how much we discuss relationship issues, and how they relate to sports, we'd like to think this is yet another way that people can get a sneak peek into our philosophies on this subject matter," said Hill. "Let's not even make this complicated: We've done a great service to any of those with romantic desires. We've laid out the perfect blueprint."

Already well known as sports experts and analysts with years on television, radio podcasts and writing for newspapers, Michael and Jemele also happen to know their music. The His & Hers station takes listeners on a journey as they talk about the music that means the most to them - from Prince to D'Angelo to the Isley Brothers to R. Kelly. The spirit, friendly banter and genuine camaraderie of His & Hers lives on as Hill and Smith debate their favorites. The marriage with Slacker Radio was an easy one, as Slacker is the home for curated content from music, TV and radio personalities like Jon Gruden, the cast of FX's Archer, John Legend and many others.

"You have a married father of three coupled with a wise, confident single lady, so His & Hers surely knows a thing or two about setting the mood. Whether you're looking for love, in the mood for love, trying to mend a broken heart, or reminiscing about the love you lost, 'His & Hers Radio' on Slacker provides the perfect soundtrack, whatever your relationship situation," added Smith.

Hill and Smith co-host His & Hers, airing on weekdays at noon ET on ESPN2. The duo also co-host an ESPN (News - Alert) Audio podcast His & Hers with Michael Smith and Jemele Hill. They can be seen on various ESPN studio shows including Mike and Mike on ESPN Radio and ESPN2.

The His & Hers station is now live over at Slacker Radio and can be found here. For more information about Slacker Radio or to listen for free, visit www.slacker.com.
