In his new role, he will be responsible for overseeing the design and execution of all the resort's sales, marketing, commercial activities and strategies, including conferences and events. A German national, Bastian brings with him over fifteen years' experience in sales, marketing and revenue management which he gained across the luxury hospitality industry in Europe, Middle East, CIS countries and more recently the Maldives. A graduate from the Institut Cesar Ritz in Switzerland, Bastian held his first leadership role as Director of Sales at the Radisson Blu, Brussels and then went to lead commercial teams and properties with brands including Swisshotel, Intercontinental and Kempinski. Passionate about the hospitality industry, Bastian is fluent in German, English, French, Dutch and Spanish.
