TCF Bank Awards $1,000 to Support Chelsea High School Athletics ProgramWAYZATA, Minn. --(Business Wire)-- TCF Bank today is awarding Chelsea High School in Chelsea, Mich. a $1,000 donation for its football program, thanks to a nomination from 2002 Chelsea High School alumnus Robert Dorer. Dorer nominated his alma mater in the TCF Bank High School Grid Iron Sweepstakes that ran at TCF branches from September 13 to 30. "Mr. Dorer's pride and enthusiasm for his hometown team were evident in his nomination as was his great sense of community surrounding Chelsea High School," said Mark Jeter, Managing Director, Branch Banking for TCF. "We're proud to recognize the school, its passionate fan base and the coaching staff for their great work with young people." Chelsea High School Assistant Principal and Director of Athletics Brad Bush added: "I want to thank TCF Bank for the generous donation to our football program. The Chelsea High School FootballProgram will use the donation to purchase new football equipment for the players." Chelsea High School will receive the $1,000 donation from TCF Bank at the home football game today, Oct. 17. The nominee, Dorer, the TCF Branch Manager from Chelsea, Mich., Deedra Devine, and the TCF Branch Banking Director for Michigan, Camilla Stensen, will present the check to the Chelsea High School Director of Athletics, Bush and the Chelsea Bulldogs football team.
