Rallyhood CEO to Demonstrate Web-Based Patient Support Innovations at REV Forum 2014

AUSTIN, Texas --(Business Wire)--

Patti Rogers, CEO and founder of Rallyhood, a web and mobile collaboration platform that enables action-oriented communities, will join leaders in oncology research at the second annual REV Forum May 8th and 9th in Washington, D.C.

Rallyhood is transforming how people work together [and accomplish things] in organizations, communities, and groups that make up our everyday life. Rallyhood delivers a unified solution that blends the best of social with the best of productivity to make it easy for groups - big or small, serious or fun, short term or life long - to 'rally' around a common cause or mission.

Rallyhood was founded by Rogers, a 20-year marketing design entrepreneur after her personal experience going through breast cancer. During treatment and recovery she witnessed the power of community in action as well as the frustration and burden of inadequate tools that are fragmented and hard to use.

"So much of the stress and communication clutter in our life comes from organizations, communication, and groups we care about most," said Rogers. "The chaos can burn us out. But when communication and coordination is easily organized, we accomplish more, build better relationships, and enjoy more of the moments that matter most."

Launched late in 2012, Rallyhood is empowering close to 10,000 communities with high engagement and an email open rate 4X greater than industry standard. Growth has occurred organically and through partnerships with large organizations including Girl Scouts, Susan G. Komen, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, LIVESTRONG Foundation, as well as school and sports related organizations. The platform has roven to be a powerful tool for patient communities and Rallyhood has partnered with care providers to bring this much needed tool to support the patient experience and extend the providers services beyond clinical care.

"We met Patti and Rallyhood several years ago. After hearing her story and seeing the tremendous benefits this service provides to a wide range of individuals and groups, we invited her to join REV as a speaker and super facilitator. She's joined by a cadre of innovators from across the cancer community," said Doug Ulman, president and CEO of LIVESTRONG.

"We can't do cancer alone," said Rogers. "We need our people to help us through the journey - with love and help organizing everyday tasks - and when we have their support, there is a positive impact on our emotional and physical well being."

Launched in 2013 by Genentech and the LIVESTRONG Foundation, REV was created to provide a collaborative forum for stakeholders in the cancer community, including clinicians, patients, patient advocates, business leaders, policy makers, and other leaders in oncology to discuss issues, build collaborations, and identify actions that can improve the lives of people affected by cancer. REV 2014 takes place at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington, D.C. on May 8th and 9th.
