Connect with Your Favorite Texan Football Programs Using the FiOS1 High School Sports Widget
Friday night lights in Texas will burn a bit brighter for Verizon FiOS (News - Alert) customers. Verizon Communications, a broadband and wireless communications service provider, has revealed the FiOS1 High School Sports Widget, offering customers an innovative, convenient way to stay connected to their favorite high school football programs whenever they want.
FiOS1 High School Sports Widget boasts on-demand access to the most up-to-date high school football news, stats, photos and video highlights. The newest innovation, launched last fall, is now available to more than 500,000 households in the Dallas-FortWorth Texas FiOS service area.
Rachel McGallian, Verizon's (News - Alert) director of marketing for Texas, explained in a statement, “The Friday night lights burn a little brighter for Verizon FiOS customers in Texas, as our FiOS1 High School Sports Widget offers customers an innovative, convenient way to keep connected with their favorite high school football programs whenever they want.”
It further offers content from 38 Metroplex-area local high school sports directly to Verizon FiOS customers' TVs. The content includes recaps of tape-delayed regular season football games, video highlights and team and player statistics.
Customers interested in taking advantage of this innovative service can access the free FiOS1 High School Sports Widget in just four easy steps. First, click the "Widgets" button on the FiOS TV remote; second, click "OK" to select FiOS TV Widgets; next, select "Featured" or "Sports" categories; and lastly, scroll to the High School Sports Widget to enjoy the action.
FiOS1 is part of FiOS TV's broad collection of programming featuring more than 530 all-digital channels including more than 140 high-definition channels and 40,000 monthly VOD titles.
Providing next-generation interactive services including an advanced interactive media guide; social network, news, sports and entertainment widgets, this will undoubtedly prove very beneficial for the sports-enthused Texas community.
