ViaWest to Participate in 2012 USA Pro Challenge as Official Partner
ViaWest recently announced that it is the official partner for the 2012 USA Pro Challenge and will also be the presenting partner for the Pro Challenge Founder's Ride - a thirteen-mile bike ride to be held in Denver on August 26. ViaWest is one of the premier providers of colocation, complex hosting, cloud and managed services to businesses of all sizes.
In a release, Roy Dimoff, chairman and CEO of ViaWest, said, "ViaWest has been a part of the Colorado community since our start in 1999. The USA Pro Challenge brings many top athletes and spectators to Colorado to experience all our state has to offer. It is the premier cycling race in the nation and we are honored to participate as an official partner."
The 2012 Pro Challenge will see more than 100 professional bike riders cover the 683-mile course with challenging altitudes, and featuring some of the most treacherous climbs ever. This year's event will see participation from 2011 USA Pro Challenge champion, Levi Leipheimer and Cadel Evans, winner of the 2011 Tour de France.
Sixteen professional cycling teams from across the globe will be competing in this year's Pro Challenge which is slated to begin on August 20 in Durango and will cover twelve Colorado cities. The event which has planned in seven stages will finally conclude on August 26 in Denver.
During the seven days of the sporting event, top athletes from across the world will navigate their way through the majestic Colorado Rockies and cycle through high altitude mountain passes reaching an elevation of 12,000 ft. and more. This year’s challenge includes a 683-mile course with more than 42,000 ft. of vertical climbing, spanning areas of immense scenic beauty.
