Alex Marinov, the founder of Tennis round Inc., launched the company in August 2010. It focuses mainly on recreational tennis and provides a platform for tennis players to interact with one another.

The fact that many tennis centers rely on paper-based message boards to provide information about upcoming events or help keep in touch, prompted Marinov to create an interactive Website that could do all this more easily.

"We wanted to build a system that helped people play tennis - any time, anywhere - without the discovery and scheduling hassle. Many tennis facilities, including NYC Central Park Tennis Center, still rely on paper-based message boards to help players get in touch. There has to be a better way to find a tennis partner,” said Marinov, in a press release.

Johann Tan, General Manager, Racquet Training Center in Seattle WA, spoke of how the new Tennis Website enabled players to see who else played at the center allowing them to schedule matches with each other. This would not have been possible otherwise, as the 450 active players at the center didn't all know each other.

Currently, players from 182 cities have registered at the Tennis Round Websitewhich has a directory of almost all public tennis courts and private clubs in the United States. Players can find public courts, located in community centers or local parks by simply dragging the map. While most public courts are free, some charge a nominal fee.

The Website also helps players at different playing levels to find suitable partners by inviting local players at the same playing level. As all players are asked to declare their skill levels during registration, the search yields pertinent results.

In addition, scheduling messages can be sent and received with the click of a button and players from other clubs can also be contacted. Details of particular tennis courts are also available.

The Director and Head Coach at AV Performance Tennis Club, Alex Vlaski., found the new Website very useful. He said, “We run a variety of tennis clinics and high performance programs and we introduced Tennis Round to our members so they can connect with each other and practice what they learned during the tennis lessons and drills".

New Tennis courts can also be added to the directory by furnishing the required details and new tennis players can join by visiting the Website.
