BRIEF: Pretrial hearing for Michigan WR Jerald Robinson delayed again

Jun 04, 2012 (Detroit Free Press - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Michigan sophomore receiver Jerald Robinson had his pretrial hearing delayed this morning at 15th District Court in Ann Arbor.

A court clerk said the pretrial hearing was adjourned until 9 a.m. June 25. Robinson's attorney, Douglas E. Lewis, asked for the continuance so he could seek surveillance video, if it exists. Robinson is accused of destroying a parking gate Feb. 4 and is facing a misdemeanor charge of malicious destruction of property valued between $200 and $1000.

Robinson was arraigned April 20, after surrendering to a bench warrant.

Robinson, who participated in spring football and played in the spring game April 14, played in 11 games last season. He redshirted in 2010.

A U-M spokesman previously has stated that Robinson is still an active member of the team.

Messages seeking comment from Lewis were not immediately returned.
