Global Gaming Network Announces Pilar Lastra Official Spokesperson

August 27, 2014

(SPORTS TECHNOLOGY)

Global Gaming Network has been working hard over the last calendar year to make itself a better brand in its niche industry. Now the company has announced it seems to have a spokesman for its Amped Fantasy Sports league. The company announced earlier this week that Pilar Lasra has been inked as that spokesperson. Lastra has been dubbed the Princess of Pigskin while hosting a Sirius/XM radio program every Thursday night. Lastra was also once a Playboy Playmate and was a regular as one of the models on the NBC game show Deal or No Deal.

Stephen Kern, President of GBGM talked about the hiring of this new spokesperson in a recent statement saying, "We're thrilled to have Pilar join our Amped Fantasy Sports operation (www.AmpedFantasySports.com). She is a dynamic host and performer and one of the best Fantasy Football experts on the planet.”

Kern said that part of Lastra’s job will include promoting the website on a host of various social networking sites such as Facebook (News - Alert) and Twitter while also going on YouTube and Instagram. GBGM believes the former model has quite a following on social media, as well as on Sirius/XM and that will help to get the company’s name out there to the masses better.

The Global Gaming Network has been working to make itself more of a household name in a business that has some well-established players. It can be hard to break into the industry when you’re talking about going up against companies such as Yahoo and ESPN (News - Alert). For her part, Lastra seems committed to trying to help Amped get off the ground and become one of the big players in the industry. The former model issued her own statement saying she was excited to be involved with the Fantasy Sports Company. Lastra added that the company has come up with some exciting new ways to allow people to enjoy their fantasy sports fix.
