RCN's New Sweepstakes Helps Customers to Win an Authentic Jersey from Their Favorite Soccer Team

With the official launch of 2010 FIFA World Cup, RCN Corporation (News - Alert) recently announced a new sweepstakes for its customers. This sweepstakes provides customers with an opportunity to win an authentic jersey from their favorite international soccer team. In addition, the company offers text alerts that include daily results and reminders for matches.
Mike Roddy who is the senior vice president of marketing at RCN said that "As the worldwide popularity and excitement generated by this classic soccer competition continues to explode, RCN is enhancing its coverage of the games and spreading the spirit of the 2010 FIFA World Cup by offering this sweepstakes opportunity to our customers. The promotion lets customers tell us their favorite soccer team, and then they are entered to win an authentic jersey from that team."
Customers are able to participate in the sweepstakes online by visiting Participants can select from a list of teams and specify their favorite jersey size. One winner is selected from every RCN's markets. These markets include Philadelphia and Lehigh Valley, Pa., New York City, Boston, Chicago and Washington, D.C. Company plans to announce the winners by July 30.
