AT&T announced that it is bringing together some of the big names in the music entertainment business to make the exclusive AT&T (News - Alert) Team USA soundtrack to cheer for the athletes competing in the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics Games.
3 Doors Down, The All-American Rejects, Mariah Carey, Hoobastank, Puddle Of Mudd and Sugarland are some of the noted recording artists who will be lending their talents for the inspirational songs composed for Team USA, sports and music fans across the country.
These songs will be available exclusively via the iTunes Store, and via AT&T wireless devices.
Some of those artists have also recorded music videos for those songs and they will be aired during NBC's Olympic Games coverage. Fans can also access them via the internet and wireless devices through AT&T U-verse TV, AT&T Fan Zone and wirelessly through AT&T Mobile Video.
Jason Simpson, director of AT&T Olympic Integration has said that the AT&T Team USA soundtrack truly has captured the spirit of the Olympics and offers another terrific opportunity to show their support for these amazing and innovative world-class athletes.
Singer Mariah Carey said she is honored to be a part of this effort to support Team USA through this soundtrack.
“The Olympic Winter Games create once-in-a-lifetime moments for the entire world to see. It is truly amazing to watch these first-rate athletes compete and give everything they have to reach new levels of achievement,” Carey said. “Their actions provide hope and inspiration for everyone. As artists, they strive to encourage others through their music.”
AT&T is the Official Communications Services Partner of the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Teams, and as part of this relationship, AT&T is keeping Team USA connected to coaches, family, friends and fans as it prepares for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in Vancouver.
The songs are available for purchase on iTunes for $0.99 or $1.29. In addition, AT&T wireless customers can purchase ringtones and answer tones featuring the tracks through AT&T MEdia Mall (or AT&T App Center) -- prices from $1.99 to $2.49 for each download.
