Ultimate Software Wins Brandon Hall Group Gold Award for Excellence in Technology for UltiPro's Leadership Actions

Ultimate Software (Nasdaq: ULTI), a leading provider of human capital management (HCM) solutions in the cloud, announced today that it has won a Brandon Hall Group Gold Award in Technology in the Best Advance in Online Coaching Tools category. The award recognizes UltiPro's Leadership Actions, which encourages proactive collaboration and communication between managers and employees to improve retention and the employee experience, with recommended actions to better engage with their individual team members.

"Because managers have such a critical impact on the employee experience and retention, we partnered with best-selling author and thought leader, Simon Sinek, to deliver inspiration and guidance to managers, and help them become better leaders," said Adam Rogers, chief technology officer at Ultimate. "The Ultimate Software 2016 National Study on Satisfaction at Work found that the most important relationship in any organization is between employee and direct manager. Leadership Actions provides quick, practical activities and advice to managers, so they can engage with individuals and support their career paths, all while further developing their own leadership skills."

UltiPro's Leadership Actions suggests actionable next steps across 16 categories of engagement to help leaders retain and develop high-performing or high-potential individuals. The categories in the feature's library include employee tenure (three months, six months, one year, and five years), achievement, difficult conversations, and growth opportunities. Managers can easily add and complete activities in the solution, including their own unique actions that support other cultural and management initiatives in the organization. UltiPro's predictive tools and Leadership Actions feature are embedded in the solution, so managers have easy access without the need to invest in additional resources.

Ultimate customer, Anderson Center for Autism, encourages managers to take suggestions from UltiPro's Leadership Actions and has experienced a significant impact on retention and culture as a result.

"Ultimate's Leadership Actions has truly made a difference at Anderson by encouraging leadership to have conversations they were not having previously," said regg Paulk, IT director at Anderson Center for Autism. "I am not surprised that the tool would receive accolades, as it has really helped us. We have had both managers and employees express the difference in employee-manager relationships since we started using it. Organizations must work to establish a technological infrastructure, like UltiPro, that allows for advancements in employee retention and engagement. Once the infrastructure is in place, leadership should consider HR technology software as a tool for managers on the front lines to address employee concerns and recommend necessary adjustments to keep valued staff from bringing their talents elsewhere."

Entries for the 2016 Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards were evaluated by a panel of veteran, independent senior industry experts and Brandon Hall Group senior analysts and executives, based on criteria including product innovation, unique differentiators, value proposition, and measurable results. Brandon Hall Group is one of the most well-known and established research organizations in the performance improvement industry.
