GumGum Appoints Ryan Mosher to Executive Director of GumGum Sports As Applied Computer Vision Company Transforms Sponsorship Valuations

GumGum, an applied computer vision company, today announced Ryan Mosher as Executive Director of GumGum Sports. GumGum Sports is the newly launched division of GumGum Visual Intelligence (V.I.) that leverages GumGum's computer vision technology to transform sponsorship valuations and bring full, consistent media valuations of sports partnerships to rights holders and sponsors. With over 15 years of experience in the sports marketing industry, Mosher will further expand GumGum's work in this new market. GumGum Sports enables those that invest in, and earn revenue through, visible signage that appears across live television, social media, streaming and in replays to benefit from the comprehensive analysis of every frame. Mosher will be based in GumGum's Chicago office.

"In my career, I've been heavily involved on both the rights holder and sponsor sides of the sports marketing business. I've seen first hand the importance of measurement in evaluating sports sponsorships over many years, however it needs t be the right measurement. What we've found is most of the time, there tends to be a large amount of value that is left unaccounted for - and that's been a problem for teams, rights holders and brands in the past," said Mosher. "GumGum Sports' unique use of computer vision technology to provide all-in-one, consistent valuations of exposure attracted me to the company. It's exciting to be directly involved in the growth of a business that is using leading technology to revolutionize media valuations as sports consumption rapidly evolves."

Prior to joining GumGum, Mosher served as Senior Director of Marketing and Commercial Solutions at Nielsen Sports where he worked closely with brands and rights holders to understand what makes a sponsorship successful, what sponsorships are most desirable to fit strategic objectives and how best to maximize revenue through sports and entertainment. Additionally, while at Nielsen, Mosher was ingrained in their data analytics offering, developing a rich understanding of available solutions and the surging demand for greater, real-time visibility and metrics. Previously, Mosher was Vice President of Regional Sales at IMG College, which handles multimedia rights for over 80 collegiate sports properties across the country, continuing his work on the rights holder side of the sports marketing equation, which he developed over a decade at International Speedway Corporation (ISC). He most recently served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing at ISC property, Watkins Glen International, where he oversaw all marketing and sales functions of the internationally recognized race track. Mosher's unique background on both sides of the sports marketing business provides GumGum an advantage as the company applies its computer vision technology to a market that is ripe for disruption and real-time, consistent measurement across the various channels sports media is being consumed today.

"GumGum Sports marks a major expansion of how our computer vision technology is applied, enabling us to push into the sports marketing industry as it experiences rapid change," said Ophir Tanz, CEO, GumGum. "With the launch of this new division, we're recognizing the opportunity inherent in the evolution of sports media consumption. Ryan's expertise, along with the rest of the growing team at GumGum Sports, will help us scale our work with brands and rights holders, bringing them the consistent, comprehensive, real-time valuations they've long been searching for."
