NCEA Appoints Rick Wilson to National Advisory Board

The National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA) today announced it has appointed Rick Wilson to its National Advisory Board (NAB). A veteran political strategist and media consultant, the board appointed Wilson on June 25, 2015.

"Wilson brings a wealth of proven experience that will help continue to grow the NCEA," said Dr. Leah Fiorentino, executive director of the NCEA. "The addition of Wilson to the NAB marks the completion of our board. Now we can focus on expanding NCEA programs to colleges and universities across the nation."

With more than 20 years of experience in candidate campaigns, corporate and government public affairs, brand management and crisis communication, Wilson brings a strong strategic background to the NAB. Wilson has served as an appointee in the Department of Defense, a GOP media strategist and senior political messaging strategist.

"The work the NAB is undertaking is vital to the future of the NCEA," said David May, corporate leadership, Luther King Capital Management and NAB member. "Wilson is an invaluable part of our progress towards sustainability, self-sufficiency and NCAA championship sport status."

Working in conjunction with the NCEA and its 20,000 supporters, the NAB is a group of expert external stakeholders who support the mission of the association and are committed to elevate and advance equestrian to the most sustainable and stronges of all NCAA women's sports.
