PixarBio CEO Frank Reynolds Inducted Into Chestnut Hill College's Libris Society

PixarBio Corporation today announced that the company's CEO Frank Reynolds has been inducted into the prestigious Libris Society of Chestnut Hill College on May 16, 2015 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The 90th Anniversary Gala featured a special ceremony honoring 31 new members. Created in 2005, the Libris Society recognizes graduates who exemplify the College's motto of Fides, Caritas, Scientia (faith-charity-knowledge) and are outstanding representatives of their alma mater.

A graduate of class '94, Frank M. Reynolds continued his education at several prestigious institutions after his graduation from Chestnut Hill College, earning a total of seven advanced degrees. As CEO of four corporations since 1999, Frank Reynolds still has found time to serve on the boards of Philly Cares and the Massachusetts Special Olympics and was honored as 1994's New Jersey Department of Health Volunteer of the Year, demonstrating his commitment to giving back. In 1992, Frank suffered a paralyzing injury to his spine and the following fall, he focused his studies at CHC to spinal cord injury and neuroscience, providing the scientific foundation for his development of the NeuroScaffold for those with spinal cord injuries. In addition to being the lead inventor of the NeuroScaffold, he is a c-inventor on more than 50 biomaterials based neuroscience patent applications. His research has been published in the Journal of Biomaterials and the Journal of Neuroscience: Methods. He has been recognized for his philanthropic and business accomplishments with numerous awards.

"I'm excited to be honored by Chestnut Hill College and to join this elite group of inductees. I've always believed that education is the cornerstone of success. Chestnut Hill is where I received my formal training in Neuroscience. I want to take this opportunity to thank my alma mater for giving me the foundation for the accomplishments I am proud of today," said Frank Reynolds.

"I congratulate those alumnae and alumni whom we honor on the occasion of the 90th Anniversary. Your example of Fides, Caritas, and Scientia is especially important to today's society," said Carol Jean Vale, SSJ, Ph.D., President of the Chestnut Hill College. "It is evident that during their four years at the College, these alumnae and alumni grew not only intellectually, but socially, ethically, morally, culturally, and spiritually. They exemplify what is best in a Chestnut Hill College education - faith in God, love of their neighbor, and knowledge of the world. The College motto has been expressed in the professions they have chosen, the families they have raised, the communities they have served, the projects they have conceived, the persons they have assisted, and the causes they have supported."
