Inaugural CES Asia to Feature more than 200 Companies from 15 Countries


More than 200 technology companies from 15 countries around the world will debut their consumer technology innovations at the inaugural International CES (News - Alert) AsiaTM. Owned and produced by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)® and co-produced by INTEX, the 2015 CES Asia will run May 25-27 in Shanghai, China, and will draw global businesses to showcase the latest products and technologies entering the Asian marketplace.

"With large retailers like JD.com participating alongside major brands such as Cadillac, Samsung, Mercedes Benz, LeTV, Twitter, Microsoft Xbox, China Mobile, Audi, Hisense, Intel (News - Alert), Ford, Monster, IBM, Gibson and Voxx, it is impossible to find a show in Asia with this much diversity and innovation on the show floor," said Karen Chupka, senior vice president, International CES and corporate business strategy, CEA.

In addition to the companies noted above, the 2015 CES Asia will showcase the breadth and depth of innovation that defines the consumer technology industry across 14 product categories, including 3D printing, automotive, content and online, green technologies, health, home entertainment, lifestyle, mobile, robotics, smart home, sports and fitness, video gaming, video/4K Ultra HD and wearables.

"CES Asia is a great platform for promoting new products but its influence is far beyond that," said Vincent Dou, CPO of Baichuan Technology, based in Nanjing, China. "We are very excited to launch our eco-friendly 3D pen in the Asian marketplace. Asia is an important tech hub, especially for startups, that is helping contribute to global innovation. Initially 20,000 gross square meters (8,500 net square meters), the CES Asia show floor has now expanded by nearly 10 percent. More than 200 companies are currently slated to exhibit, drawing from major economies including China, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Israel, New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, South Korea, Singapore, Sweden, Taiwan, the United Kingdom and the United States.

In addition to ground-breaking exhibits on the show floor, CES Asia will showcase a dynamic conference program with topics ranging from the Internet of Things, connectivity, 3D printing, robotics, lifestyles, smart home and sports and fitness.

More than 20,000 consumer technology professionals from 107 countries have registered for CES Asia since the launch of registration in January, of which 34.4 percent are senior-level executives. Registration includes domestic and international buyers, resellers, distributors, manufacturers, engineers, product designers, CTOs, CIOs, investment managers and others involved in purchasing decisions. Initial numbers confirm CES Asia as an international gathering place for tech industry influencers as more than half of registrants are from outside of China, with 27 percent from Europe, North America, South America, Oceania, Africa and the Middle East, and 18 percent from parts of Asia other than mainland China.
