Digital Global Systems Unveils the 3.0 Release of the SigBase 1000™

BELTSVILLE, Md. --(Business Wire)--

Digital Global Systems (DGS), a provider of innovative broad spectrum management technology, today announced the launch of the 3.0 release of the SigBase 1000™ platform. The platform, combines comprehensive broad spectrum data capture with real-time data analytics and attended or remote access, to efficiently monitor, manage and optimize spectrum assets for commercial and government markets. Today's unveiling reveals new industry-leading features in the 3.0 release including "connect anywhere", hardware advancements, and innovative mapping and geolocation capabilities. The company announced that two industry leaders in the Energy market and a top Tier 1 carrier are currently deploying the new 3.0 release.

"The surge in interest we have seen for the SigBase 1000 platform from leading wireless and technology companies, along with public safety centric companies, reinforces the opportunity that exists for innovative spectrum management solutions," said Fernando Murias, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Digital Global Systems. "Our team uniquely understands evolving technologies, such as LTE (News - Alert) / VoLTE, and the ever-growing complexities around spectrum. As a result, we can deliver cutting-edge solutions like the SigBase 1000, which provide the insights enterprises need to understand their spectrum challenges in real-time and efficiently address them with cost-effective solutions," said Jeremy Levin, SVP Product Innovation of Digital Global Systems.

The SigBase 1000™ platform provides the latest in spectral analytics by blending automated signal detection, patented algorithms along with the latest innovations in interference and anomaly-detection. Critical data points are distilled in milliseconds and stored automatically in an integrated database for rapid analysis. The result is the delivery of clear and concise directions to improve network predictability and performance in today's complex spectral envronment.

SigBase 1000™ 3.0 release highlights include:

  • Connect Anywhere - The launch of a new desktop/tablet application enables users to access the platform on-site or from a remote location. This enables access to one or multiple units deployed anywhere in the field. Multiple units can be integrated remotely to sync and share data to perform advanced analytics.
  • SigBase 1000™ Hardware 3.0 - The portable unit now has 'militarized' light-weight hardware and improved battery life for up to 8 hours. All components are now encased in a Faraday cage providing security, strength and protection from environmental harm.
  • Geolocation - The launch of a new geolocation capability with mapping features allow users to select a signal of interest on the spectral display and visualize approximate location. A new mapping interface displays the interference source as well as the SigBase units used to locate it.

In addition to the product's recent successes with the telecommunications, government, and energy markets, recent trials of the SigBase 1000 system also demonstrate the effectiveness of using this technology in identifying and locating performance and capacity impacting interference at premier professional sports venues.

"It is rewarding to see how the technology is helping our customers save significant costs and utilize their spectrum efficiently to improve wireless experiences across a broad number of environments," added Murias. "We plan to continue to accelerate innovation in this space with the upcoming launch of two additional SigBase 1000™ models and a cloud-based Analytics and Reporting Suite in the months ahead. The future for spectrum management solutions is very bright."

Representatives from the company will be available to discuss the new platform at the LTE North America Conference 2014 in Dallas, Texas, November 18-20th. To schedule a meeting at the event or to request a private demonstration of the 3.0 release of the SigBase1000™ platform, please contact [email protected].
