Samsung introduces Intel Bay Trail-powered Chromebook(ENP Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ENP Newswire - 19 October 2014 Release date- 17102014 - Samsung's has added an Intel option to its Chromebook selections - the 11.6-inche Chromebook 2, and many pundits believe it has vastly superior performance over the two previous versions sporting Samsung's ARM chips. The ultra-mobile device, measuring a half-inch wide and weighing just 2.6 pounds, sports a fanless Celeron N2840, or Bay Trail, chipset that can run at up to 2.58GHz. Coming in at $250 on preorders this week, the laptop is extremely affordable but only comes with 2GB of RAM, while the two previous models had 4GB.
