The International Coastal Cleanup is a global environmental movement, organized by the Ocean Conservancy. The organization stresses the idea that whatever falls from human hands can be removed by human hands. Held globally on 20th of September every year, the International Coastal Cleanup is the world's largest volunteer effort that inspires action to remove trash and debris from beaches, lakes and waterways. This action had been supported globally by the Coca-Cola Company for 19 years.

About 400 volunteers representing both of companies, as well as several youth organizations and universities have joined the action on September 20 at Buzovna Beach in Baku and more than 2 tons of debris and trash have been collected from 2 km coastline. Coca-Cola and Bakcell associates will record every item collected and will send it to Ocean Conservancy, which will then use the data to produce country based world report on the marine debris problem.

The National Olympic Committee, ADA University, T?miz S?h?r Company, YouthInc, program for young entrepreneurs, and ALLmag youth magazine are the regular partners of the campaign.

The campaign was under 'Pick it up, Clean it up, Sea change' slogan. All participants were provided with transport, t-shirts, beverages, food and necessary equipment.

Over the past 4 years in Azerbaijan 26 ha coastline of the Caspian Sea was cleaned from about 6 tons of waste. Globally around 650 000 persons joined The Coca-Cola Company to clean 20 000 km of coastline.
