Days of sky-high figures for sports rights are long gone, says Voelte

Feb 20, 2013 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Seven West Media CEO, Don Voelte, says he will not remain in the job in the long term. The former Woodside Petroleum CEO took the role on an open-ended basis and is regarded as a short-term "Mister Fix-it" to cut costs and prepare the media group for the future. Voelte believes sports broadcast rights will not be sold for the high prices previously demanded, with some "common sense" returning to bids.
