BRIEF: Connecticut camps, clinics, rec leagues and tryouts
Dec 19, 2012 (New Haven Register - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- FOOTBALL --A winter football league for children ages 8-10 is forming in New Haven for play beginning in January. Games will be played at the CT Sportsplex. Call 203-980-3712.
BASEBALL --The University of New Haven Chargers Holiday Hitting and Fielding Clinic will take place on Dec. 27-28 from 9-10:30 a.m. (ages 5-9) and 10:30 a.m. to noon (ages 10-13) at the CT Speed School in Milford. UNH coach Chris Celano and his staff will run the clinic, which costs $50. Call 203-298-4277 or email info@ctspeedschool.com.
LACROSSE --A winter lacrosse league will run from Jan. 5-Feb. 9 at the CT Speed School in Milford. There's a 3-on-3 format in bantam and lightning divisions (Grades 2-6).
