Forbes 30 Under 30
NEW YORK --(Business Wire)--
Forbes today unveiled its second annual "30 Under 30" listing of
tomorrow's brightest stars: 30 amazing individuals in 15 categories
under the age of 30 (available at www.forbes.com/under30).
Forbes collaborated with experts in diverse industries to develop a list
of 450 people under 30 who are making waves today, and who are destined
to still be shaking things up years from now.
The 15 categories include Art & Style, Education, Energy, Finance, Food
& Wine, Games & Apps, Hollywood, Law &Policy, Media, Marketing &
Advertising, Music, Science & Healthcare, Social Entrepreneurs, Sports
and Technology. Some already well-known names (age included) are:
musicians Adele (24), Bruno Mars (27) and Justin Bieber
(18); U.S. Olympic gymnast Gabrielle Douglas (17); fashion
designers Ashley and Mary Kate Olsen (26); Miami Heat
forward LeBron James (28), Facebook (News - Alert) co-founder and CEO Mark
Zuckerberg (28), Tumblr founder and CEO David Karp (26); New
York Times Reporter Brian Stelter (27); and Mashable founder
and CEO Pete Cashmore (27).
Some of the standouts on the list (who will also be featured in the
January 21 issue of Forbes magazine) include Josh Sommer (24),
founderof the Chordoma Foundation; Pittsburgh-bred rapper Wiz
Khalifa (25); Kim Swift (News - Alert) (29), creative director at Airtight
Games and creator of the hit videogame Portal; Rachel Haot (28),
chief digital officer, City of New York; Deron Williams (28),
point guard for the Brooklyn Nets; Todd Hunter (29), creative
executive at CAA Marketing; Carly Cushnie (28), fashion designer; Kate
McKinnon (28), a brilliant new Saturday Night Live cast member; Josh
Miller (22), CEO of a new social media company called Branch; Jeremy
Johnson (28), co-founder of online education startup 2U and Matt
Mullenweg (28), creator of WordPress.
