Jul 17, 2012 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Level 3 Communications announced that Terra, a global digital media company and content producer, will use its Vyvx Managed Video Network Solutions to broadcast sports and other special events.
"Level 3's solutions will enable Terra to deliver the broadest coverage in its history, reaching 100 million people in Latin America," said Allan Pessoa, technology manager for Terra, in a release. "With its customizable services, excellent network reach and deep experience, Level 3 is the preferred choice for us." Level 3's Vyvx Managed Video Network Service combines video and IP/data into a single, managed service.
Level 3 will provide Terra with bidirectional circuits, equipment and on-site technical and logistical support at Terra's headquarters in Sao Paulo, and at its broadcast studio in the International Broadcasting Centre in London.
"Level 3's Vyvx Solutions have been highly respected in the television industry for more than 20 years because of their excellent track record in global full-service video broadcasting," said Leonardo Barbero, Level 3's chief marketing officer and senior vice president for Latin America. "This expertise and experience were key factors in Terra's decision to work with us. We are pleased to provide Terra with the broadcast infrastructure, unsurpassed quality and capabilities to deliver video and data networking for important events."
