NAPW Temecula Local Chapter Growing Strong with Committed Members, Exciting Vision, and Recent Guest Speaker Paul Nolta
Garden City, NY, Jul 12, 2012 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) --
Members and guests of the NAPW Temecula Local Chapter gathered together recently for a women's networking event at Olivera's Coffee & Juice Bar in Temecula, California. The recently formed local Chapter welcomed new members and guests who had the opportunity to hear Paul Nolta's, Assistant Director of the Inland Empire Small Business Development Center, expert remarks about the importance of marketing.
Temecula, California is well known for its beautiful golf courses, perfect climate, and award-winning wineries. Now, it is also the home of the NAPW Temecula Local Chapter. Established a few months ago by Sheila Cohen, who serves as the women's networking group's Chapter
President, the Temecula Chapter is off to a great start with a clear vision, winning objectives, and committed members.
Meeting the first Thursday of every month at Temecula Olivera's Coffee & Juice Bar, located at 43049 Margarita Road, Suite A101, the Chapter so far "...has attracted quite a few members but more are always welcome," said Ms. Cohen. Members run the gamut from small-business owners to professional women, to entrepreneurs. Every meeting offers endless networking opportunities, the chance to get involved in a variety of projects and events, and perhaps, most importantly, the ability to meet like-minded, professional women.
The Temecula Chapter has already successfully organized a community fundraiser, Dogs for the Deaf, which took place June 3 at Ronald Reagan Sports Park. Through sponsors, participants, and donors, the Temecula Chapter worked together to make it a very successful event.
During the June meeting, Ms. Cohen said a number of items were discussed including the goals and objectives of the Chapter. She also encouraged members and guests to check out the group's Facebook page and the NAPW Temecula Chapter page for up-to-date details on upcoming meetings, events, and Chapter happenings.
"Some of the things we would like to accomplish include organize more community events, raise money for a scholarship fund, educate members about how they can advertise their businesses on the Chapter page, and secure future guest speakers," said Ms. Cohen.
Members and guests at July's Temecula Chapter had the opportunity to hear from Paul Nolta, the Assistant Director of Inland Empire Small Business Development Center (SBDC). Inland Empire SBDC works with small businesses to help them improve their competitive standing in the marketplace. Mr. Nolta spoke about the importance of marketing prior to advertising and his words had a positive impact on the members, many of whom are small-business owners.
The next Temecula Chapter meeting will be held Thursday, August 8 at 6:00pm at Olivera's Coffe & Juice Bar, 43049 Margarita Road, Suite A101, Temecula. Members, guests, and non-members are all welcome.
