Canadian Satellite Radio Holdings Inc. Extends Registration Rights Agreement
TORONTO, Jun 15, 2012, 2012 (Canada NewsWire via COMTEX) --
Canadian Satellite Radio Holdings Inc.
(TSX: XSR), parent of SiriusXM Canada, today announced that it has
extended the expiry date of the existing Registration Rights Agreement
with its significant shareholders for an additional 122 day period. The
Registration Rights Agreement generally provides that, subject to
certain conditions, beginning June 21, 2011, any one of Sirius XM Radio
Inc., the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Slaight Communications
Inc., CSRI Inc. and General Motors of Canada may request that the
Company file a prospectus and take such other steps as may be necessary
to facilitate a distribution of all or part of the shares held by that
holder and any other participating holders.
The original 180 day term of the Registration Rights Agreement was set
to expire on December 18, 2011 but had been extended to June 15, 2012
by an amending agreement dated December 16, 2011. Following today's
announcement, the Registration Rights Agreement will expire on October
