World Cup 2018: RiT Technologies Powering Moscow's Spartak Stadium

Moscow’s Spartak Stadium, a multi-purpose stadium in Moscow, Russia with a capacity of 42,000 people, will host the 2018 FIFA World Cup and is gearing up to offer state-of-the-art technology to fans and players alike.

To support this event, RiT Technologies (News - Alert), a provider of intelligent infrastructure solutions, has supplied its communications network for the stadium.


The whole project involved installation of both copper and fiber optic solutions and was executed by Lanit, a system integrator in Russia. Lanit was also in charge of deploying many subscriber access points and constructing various cable routes to complete the project.

“This is a significant achievement which creates a base for the future 2018 FIFA World Cup projects, the planning of which is taking place at this very moment,” commented Mr. Motti Hania, RiT’s CEO.

The RiT advanced cabling solutions belongs to the company’s network infrastructure connectivity and management solutions portfolio and is exclusively designed to cater to the needs of next-generation networks and data centers. The copper and fiber optic solutions are predominantly built for the usage in complex architectures such as inter-connect and cross-connect.

Also, the RiT Technology’s structured copper and optic fiber cabling products for networks are backed by high-bandwidth technology and POE (Power over Ethernet) support. These cabling products are built according to the international cabling standards, including ANSI/TIA (News - Alert)/EIA-568-C.2.
