WISeKey Exclusively to Distribute Real Madrid's Mobile Content across China

Real Madrid FC recently signed an exclusive deal with WISeKey to distribute their mobile content across China. This deal is for the upcoming 2011/2012 season. This is WISeKey’s new media strategy, to associate themselves with famous brands. This deal allows WISeKey to monetize by associating the ecosystem of WISeKey users with restricted mobile content rights provided by the brands in some countries.


Chinese partners and WISeKey will exclusively handle all the marketing and distribution of Real Madrid’s mobile content in China.

In a release, Founder and CEO of WISeKey, Carlos Moreira said, “WISeKey will help Real Madrid generate extra revenue by distributing official mobile content in China, creating a mobile community of Real Madrid fans who choose to receive Real Madrid’s exclusive mobile content using WISeKey’s world-leading eSecurity technologies.” 

Real Madrid can tap into a huge market in China and now Real Madrid’s fans can view official Real Madrid content on their mobile phones.

Real Madrid’s head of New Media, Pedro Duarte said, “We are delighted to be partnering with WISeKey, who will boost the club’s presence and strengthen our popularity in China via the fastest growing mobile market community. Real Madrid fans can find in their mobile devices the best photos, videos, news of the club in nearly every corner of the world thanks to our dynamic licensing model, and now thanks to WISeKey, we are also entering the Chinese market.”

Real Madrid is one of the finest football clubs in the world, with the highest number of awards in history. This club is considered by FIFA as “The Best Club in the Twentieth Century”.
