Huawei Offers Trips to Spain for Football Fans
The ICT solutions provider has announced a regional campaign as part of the company's sports sponsorship strategy and has partnered with the official football (soccer) league, Liga de Futbol Profesional (LFP) for this initiative.
The new, fun and interactive competition from Huawei follows a December 2013 competition in which the company became LFP's official global technology partner.
“Huawei's football fan engagement campaign is a creative and innovative way to reach out to fanbase in the Middle East, through its technology,” said Fernando Sanz, LFP MENA general director.
Huawei is taking a lot of interest in football and in 2013 it became the official Mobile Partner and supplier of the communications solutions for the Premier League Football Clubs by signing a deal with both AC Milan and Arsenal.
As part of investment in its global sports marketing program, the company also was the leading sponsor of the Huawei 5th GCC National Teams Under 23 Football Championship in 2013.
“We understand the importance of football in the Middle East and that it's central to many people's lives - this is why we developed a creative way to engage with our perspective and current customers through the passion they hold for the sport,” said Ashraf Fawakherji, vice president of Huawei Device Middle East.
