4Licensing Corporation and Pinwrest Development Group have been approved by Major League Baseball for introducing their new protective cap inserts for on-field use by MLB (News - Alert) pitchers.

The insert will feature the isoBLOX patented impact protection technology. The protective cap insert has been designed to effectively protect MLB pitchers from line drives hit back to the mound protecting the front, front boss, and side areas of the head.

Bruce Foster, chief executive officer of 4Licensing Corporation said, “Introduction of the protective cap represents a very significant step in the protection of major league pitchers.”

The isoBLOX technology is used on a foam substrate which is molded into a lightweight, flexible, impact resistant head form. This provides impact protection to the head when worn inserted into a regular baseball cap. The caps designed for MLB players will now feature these protective inserts.

The protective cap will be made available to players on a voluntary basis. 4LC and Pinwrest plan to custom-fit the caps to those players who choose to wear it during MLB spring training sessions and during the 2014 regular season.

“The Company is in the process of developing a number of other impact protection products utilizing isoBLOX. These products are being designed for use by athletes of all ages, in a variety of sports and activities,” added Foster.

To create and develop this product 4LC formed the new joint venture, Pinwrest Development Group. This initiative was launched in March 2013 to commercialize impact protection products featuring the isoBLOX patented technology that synergizes energy dispersion and absorption to diffuse impact. The lightweight and flexible isoBLOX technology can be incorporated in products used in sports, military, law enforcement, aerospace and medical fields.

4Licensing Corporation is also the worldwide licensing agent for the Rocket Monkeys property.  It launched a licensing program in 2013 for this animated action comedy series. Rocket Monkeys is currently being broadcasted on Nickelodeon networks on a global basis and on Teletoon in Canada. Through an agreement with Breakthrough Entertainment, 4LC is managing the marketing, promotion and licensing initiatives of this delightfully quirky animated children's series.
