Level 3 to Provide Live Broadcast of Super Bowl XLVII via Vyvx Services

The Super Bowl is one of the most-viewed events in the world, so delivering an unparalleled viewing experience that is easily scalable is paramount. Level 3's Vyvx VenueNet+ service provides us with the superior performance we need to ensure a successful broadcast."
According to The Nielson Co., last year’s Super Bowl was viewed by 166.8 million viewers from across the United States, which constitutes more than half of the U.S. population. Furthermore, the game was broadcast for viewers from across the globe as well.

This year’s Super Bowl event will be hosted at The Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans. The venue is connected directly to Level 3's advanced fiber-optic network, which makes TV broadcast of the event easy. As a part of the event coverage, more than 3,500 hours of video content will be acquired, and encoded and transported over the Vyvx VenueNet+ platform.
