Global Gaming Network Unveils a Revamped AmpedFantasy Website

November 28, 2012

(SPORTS TECHNOLOGY)

In an effort to grab a significant share in the multi-billion dollar fantasy sports market in North America, Global Gaming Network (GBGM) acquired AmpedFantasy a few months back. Now as a part of their growth and expansion strategy, GBGM has introduced major enhancements to the Amped Fantasy website.

AmpedFantasy provides sports-watchers a platform where they can legally wager on players that participate in domestic and international sporting events. The enhanced website now sports new features, contests, special promotions and social networking tie-ins. The Amped Fantasy blog provides valuable information on player performance, injuries, etc. Users can also post their contests on Facebook and Twitter (News - Alert).

As part of this latest revamp, GBGM went for a complete redesign of its website. The website's new features and design enhancements are expected to allow Amped Fantasy to significantly increase its user base during the remainder of the enormously popular NFL season, including the playoff games and Super Bowl 2013.

“We're pleased to offer our expanding and loyal user base a much improved Amped Fantasy website, with new features, contests, special promotions and social networking tie-ins. Users will now be able to pick and store their favorite players for contests, play 'freeroll' contests for cash with no entry fee, win a free trip to Baja Mexico and receive gift certificates from well known outlets like Restaurant.com and 1-800-flowers.com. Users can now directly access the Amped Fantasy blog for valuable information on player performance, injuries, etc., and post their entered contests on Facebook (News - Alert) and Twitter,” president of GBGM, Stephen Kern noted in a statement.

Given that the fantasy sports market is growing rapidly worldwide, this GBGM’s investment in the website seems to be completely justified. According to industry estimates, fantasy sports participation has grown over 60 percent the past four years, as over 32 million people now play in the U.S. and Canada, the highest participation numbers in its history. Making wagering more exiting for sports-betters, the new feature packed AmpedFantasy website is expected to significantly add to the website’s traffic.

In August, Global Gaming Network  acquired AmpedFantasy.

“I'm thrilled to have GBGM acquire the AmpedFantasy operation and look forward to having the web site capitalize on the growth of fantasy sports. Envative, an international web and mobile development company, will carry out the development and administration of the AmpedFantasy web site. GBGM has assured us of their financial commitment, expertise and resources to make AmpedFantasy one of the leading fantasy sports operations worldwide,” Bryan Ciambella, who founded AmpedFantasy said in connection to the acquisition.
