'Hanging Out With Fans' will See NBA Stars Stephen Curry and Brandon Jennings Participate in the PlayUp App
(SPORTS TECHNOLOGY)
PlayUp recently announced it will work together with NBA stars Stephen Curry, of the Golden State Warriors, and Brandon Jennings as the 2012 NBA Finals approach. PlayUp is the first social network app that focuses exclusively on entertaining sports fans, socializers and gamers.
Basketball fans can chat with Curry in the free PlayUp app for iOS and Android (News - Alert) devices. When game two commences on Thursday, June 14 at 9pm EST, Jennings will get the opportunity to meet with fans in the app. Fans will be able to discuss the action with these past unanimous selections on the 2010 NBA All-Rookie First Team as the top two teams in the NBA fight to get one win closer as NBA champions.
In a release, PlayUp USA CEO, Dennis Lee said, "PlayUp is once again offering fans an incredible opportunity to connect with two of the most likeable budding superstars during what is sure to be an exciting and memorable NBA Finals. We are extremely proud to offer a platform for Stephen and Brandon to showcase their great personalities to fans."
Curry has been one of the fan favorites since being drafted seventh by the Warriors during the 2009 NBA draft. Curry made a sensation entry onto the national scene during the 2008-09 NCAA basketball season when he led the country by scoring 28.6 ppg and became the face of March Madness when he brought the Davidson Wildcats to the Elite 8.
Curry continued,"I am so excited for this Finals, and getting to watch game one with fans is going to be a wonderful experience. I hope all my fans join me in the PlayUp app. I'll be answering questions, breaking down the game, and making my predictions for the series."
PlayUp experienced a wonderful result when NFL stars Steven Jackson and Stevie Johnson met with fans during the Super Bowl and also when March Madness legends Al Horford, Brandon Knight and Jay Williams chatted with fans during the NCAA Final Four.
The PlayUp app is currently available for download on the Android and iOS platforms and is currently being offered for free.
