Bubba Watson, a self-taught golfer, has partnered with Motorola (News - Alert) Mobility to support the launch of MOTOACTV Golf Edition from Motorola.

MOTOACTV Golf Edition is a GPS Golf tracker, providing a virtual caddy and online clubhouse. Users can track their golf game on up to 20,000 courses worldwide right from their wrist. They can make use of GPS to track the front, center and back distances to green and to hazards, and can keep track of their scorecards, clubs and important statistics.

Though his own coach, Bubba Watson is a regular on PGA tour and has surprised the world golf community many times. MOTOACTV Golf Edition allows users to sync their rounds wirelessly and visualize their game to take it to the next level online at MOTOACTV.com.

The device allows golfers to track data like total steps taken, distance covered and calories burned on the course. Users can play up to 20,000 courses worldwide and see their distance to the front, center and back of green, as well as distance to the hazards, the company stated in a press release.

The tool also contains par information for users’ favorite courses – no more laser finders, phone apps or grope through their bag. MOTOACTV monitors scorecards, clubs and key stats such as the number of putts taken and green territories in regulation when they hit.

Users can even adjust the clubs that they have on MOTOACTV to match those in their golf bag. Users can also keep every scorecard for reference, and similar to other MOTOACTV workouts, share their rounds with friends.

The company recently introduced a golf-centric version of its MOTOACTV fitness tracker that keeps track of performance statistics and allows users to share the results of their rounds with friends.
