HipLogic Launches Live Sports Module For *Spark

HipLogic has launched a new sports module for *Spark, its application for Android (News - Alert) users. The sports module will instantly deliver sports scores and news of live games to Android-based mobile phones.

In a release, Mark Anderson, CEO of HipLogic (News - Alert), stated, "*Spark is the fastest way for people to find scores from U.S. and international sporting events as they are happening. *Spark's ability to deliver sports scores in real-time to your phonetop means that fans everywhere will be able to follow every point, goal and score across multiple sports leagues without having to open a Web browser or app."

*Spark has been catering to Android users with news, weather updates, daily deals, and entertainment. The easy-to-use interface of *Spark also enables the users to access other functionalities of the phones like calendar, messaging, favorite applications and email. Twitter and Facebook (News - Alert) can also be accessed from all the modules of *Spark.

Android users in the United States can use *Spark to view many professional and college sports leagues including NFL, NHL, MLB (News - Alert), NBA and NCAA. The International Android users can use *Spark to view European Football and Cricket.

The *Spark Sports Module lets the user view scores and schedules by league or by day and customize sports information. For example, users can select their favorite league to feature on the Home Screen. If the user has more than one favorite league or sports, the module will display all the favorites in turn or rotation. If no favorites are selected, the module will display the live scores of the active sports leagues in rotation.

The latest news from CBS will also be featured in the sports module. Using the module, the user can share and comment on the status and scores of live games via SMS, Twitter or Facebook

Currently, *Spark delivers content in nine languages including English, French, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Portuguese, Chinese and Farsi.
